New York
First meetings and closings happen here.
3 World Trade Center · primary
175 Greenwich Street, 38th Floor
New York, NY 10007Lower Manhattan's rebuild brought institutional capital back downtown, with Goldman Sachs three blocks west at 200 West Street and Brookfield Place directly across. The building itself houses growth-stage technology tenants alongside financial firms, and the Flatiron and SoHo venture corridor is fifteen minutes by subway. For a firm working the seam between private capital and technology, no other address in the city sits on both sides of it.
Grand Central
110 East 42nd Street, 11th Floor
New York, NY 10017East Midtown is the densest private-capital corridor in the United States. Blackstone at 345 Park Avenue, Warburg Pincus on Lexington, and General Atlantic on East 52nd are all inside a ten-minute walk, and the Park and Madison Avenue blocks hold one of the heaviest concentrations of single-family offices anywhere. Grand Central itself puts Fairfield and Westchester principals in the lobby in under an hour.
1 Columbus Circle
1 Columbus Circle, 21st Floor
New York, NY 10019The 57th Street corridor running east from Columbus Circle holds Apollo, a long list of alternative managers, and the single-family offices clustered along Central Park South. Deutsche Bank's US headquarters occupies the tower directly above. This is the address for family office and private wealth conversations rather than institutional venture.
875 Third Avenue
875 Third Avenue, 6th Floor
New York, NY 10022Midtown East between 52nd and 53rd puts the Third and Park Avenue hedge fund and family office corridor at street level. Blackstone, Apollo, and a dozen multi-strategy managers are within a six-block radius, and Bloomberg's headquarters is a short walk north. Convenient to both the Lexington Avenue subway lines and the Queensboro approach for Long Island principals.
Greenwich
Connecticut's hedge fund belt, worked directly rather than from Midtown.
Greenwich Office Park
5 Greenwich Office Park, 1st Floor
Greenwich, CT 06831Greenwich manages more hedge fund and single-family office capital per square mile than anywhere outside Manhattan. AQR, Viking Global, Lone Pine, and Silver Point all operate within a few miles, and the town's private wealth density has made it a genuine source of direct and co-investment capital rather than only fund allocations. For family office outreach specifically, this address does more work than a Manhattan one.
Boston
The oldest institutional money in the country, and the university spinouts beside it.
Post Office Square
225 Franklin Street, Floor 26
Boston, MA 02110Post Office Square sits at the center of the Financial District, with Bain Capital, TA Associates, and Summit Partners clustered in the Back Bay blocks to the west and HarbourVest, Fidelity, and Wellington within walking distance. Boston's institutional LP base and its growth equity firms occupy the same twelve blocks, which is unusual. Kendall Square and the Cambridge venture firms are two stops on the Red Line.
Washington
Federal, defence and the policy-adjacent capital that follows both.
Met Square
655 15th Street NW, 9th Floor
Washington, DC 20005Two blocks from the White House and one from Carlyle's headquarters on Pennsylvania Avenue. The DC and Northern Virginia corridor holds the country's concentration of defense and national security investors, including Paladin Capital Group, Blue Delta, Razor's Edge, and In-Q-Tel across the river. For anything touching government-adjacent technology, this is the address where the investors and the customer sit in the same square mile.
Chicago
The derivatives and industrial capital of the Midwest, all of it on one street.
Central Loop
231 South LaSalle Street, Suite 2100
Chicago, IL 60604The former Continental Illinois Bank building, directly across from the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and a block from the Board of Trade. LaSalle Street is Chicago's financial corridor, and the city's private capital sits on it, with GTCR, Madison Dearborn, and the Pritzker and Crown family offices all within a short walk. Chicago's family office concentration is deeper than its venture market, which makes this the correct address for the capital that actually writes checks here.
Atlanta
Fintech and the Southeast's private capital, most of it in Buckhead.
Buckhead North
3424 Peachtree Road NE, Suite 2200
Atlanta, GA 30326Buckhead is where Atlanta's private capital sits, from BIP Ventures and Fulcrum Equity to a heavy concentration of family offices built on the region's payments and logistics fortunes. Atlanta processes a substantial share of US card transactions, and the fintech investor base that grew around that corridor is local. Hartsfield-Jackson puts most of the Southeast within a two-hour flight.
Miami
The Latin American gateway, and the funds that relocated here after 2020.
Brickell
1111 Brickell Avenue, 10th Floor
Miami, FL 33131Brickell is the financial district of the Americas, historically the US banking gateway for Latin American capital and more recently the destination for a wave of relocated managers including Citadel and a growing set of venture and crypto funds. The family office density here has changed materially since 2020, and much of it is first-generation and direct-investing rather than allocator-only. For cross-border capital and private wealth, no other US address covers this ground.
Tampa
Where a growing share of single-family-office capital has relocated.
Tampa Downtown
401 East Jackson Street, Suite 3300
Tampa, FL 33602Truist Place sits in the downtown financial core, a short walk from the Water Street development that reshaped the city's business district. Florida's tax treatment has pulled a meaningful number of family offices and private investors to the Tampa Bay corridor, and the local venture presence, led by Florida Funders, has grown alongside it. Best used for private wealth and regional capital rather than institutional venture.
Palm Beach
Family offices and private wealth, and the managers who moved south with them.
Symphony Workplaces
2875 South Ocean Boulevard, Suite 200
Palm Beach, FL 33480Palm Beach holds one of the densest concentrations of private wealth in the United States, and it got denser through the relocations out of the Northeast that followed 2020 — hedge funds, family offices and the wealth managers who serve them moved together rather than one at a time. Royal Palm Way is the corridor those managers, trust companies and private banks sit on, and it is a short drive north of this address. The capital here is private and relationship-led rather than institutional, which makes it a different conversation from a fund meeting and often an earlier one. Alexa Giuliani works this market alongside Monte-Carlo, and the two share investors more often than their distance suggests.
Dallas
North Texas corporate and family capital, worked by an advisor.
No room of our own
Dallas is where Texas keeps its balance sheets rather than its engineers: the corporate headquarters along the North Central Expressway and in Plano, the bank and insurance capital downtown, and a family-office layer built on energy, real estate and distribution fortunes that is older and quieter than Austin's. Money here is relationship-led and generally later-stage, which makes it a different conversation from the one two hundred miles south. Daniel Kearns works it alongside Austin and Houston. We have no room in the city and do not pretend otherwise: meetings happen at the counterparty or at a venue we take for the day.
Austin
Texas venture capital, and the funds that moved from the coasts to meet it.
3rd & Congress
301 Congress Avenue, 12th Floor
Austin, TX 78701Congress Avenue is the spine of Austin's investor community, with LiveOak, Silverton, Next Coast, S3 Ventures, and ATX Venture Partners all downtown and Capital Factory a few blocks north. The relocation wave brought both funds and corporate technology headquarters, so operator capital and institutional capital now sit in the same few blocks. Strong for early-stage venture and for founders who want to meet investors without leaving the state.
Denver
Industrial, energy and the Mountain West family offices.
Central Business District
1801 California Street, Suite 2400
Denver, CO 80202Seventeenth Street has been called the Wall Street of the Rockies for a reason, and the surrounding CBD holds Techstars, Blackhorn Ventures, Access Venture Partners, and the energy and aerospace capital that funds much of the Mountain West. Denver's investor base skews toward industrial, climate, and space technology, which is a narrower but deeper pool than a generalist market. Boulder is forty minutes north and the two ecosystems function as one.
Boulder
The deep-tech and hard-science cluster, which does not travel to Denver to meet.
Pearl Street
1919 14th Street, Suite 700
Boulder, CO 80302Boulder punches far above its size on venture density, with Boulder Ventures, Access Venture Partners, and the Techstars network all within a few blocks of Pearl Street. The University of Colorado and the federal labs nearby, including NIST, NOAA, and NREL in Golden, make this a deep tech and aerospace market rather than a software one. Best paired with the Denver location when the audience spans both.
Los Angeles
Media, consumer and the Westside capital that backs both.
Century City
1925 Century Park East, Suite 1700
Los Angeles, CA 90067Century City is LA's private capital core, with Ares, Kayne Anderson, and Leonard Green on Avenue of the Stars and Oaktree, Clearlake, and Platinum Equity within a short drive. The entertainment and real estate fortunes behind much of Southern California's family office capital are managed from these same towers. Santa Monica and the Westside venture firms are twenty minutes west.
Palo Alto
Sand Hill and the Stanford side of the valley, which does not drive to the city.
Palo Alto Page Mill
1881 Page Mill Road, Suite 100
Palo Alto, CA 94304Page Mill Road runs directly into Sand Hill Road, which remains the densest concentration of venture capital anywhere in the world. Sequoia, Kleiner Perkins, Lightspeed, Khosla, and NEA are all within a few minutes' drive, along with Stanford and the corporate venture arms clustered along the 280 corridor. For institutional venture specifically, this address is closer to more decision-makers than any other on the list.
San Francisco
The venture core, and the shortest path to a West Coast lead.
Financial District
345 California Street, Suite 600-700
San Francisco, CA 94104The Financial District and the adjacent Jackson Square blocks hold a large share of the city's venture firms, and the AI companies driving current deal flow are concentrated within a few miles in SoMa and Hayes Valley. Corporate venture arms and the growth-stage crossover funds maintain their West Coast presence here rather than on the Peninsula. Sand Hill Road is forty minutes south when the meeting requires it.
Seattle
Enterprise software and the strategic capital that sits beside it.
Safeco Plaza · primary
1001 Fourth Avenue
Seattle, WA 98154Fourth Avenue in the middle of the downtown core, which is where Seattle's venture capital actually sits: Madrona is across the street on Third, ARCH is two blocks down on Second, and Sahsen, Pioneer Square Labs and Maveron are all inside a ten-minute walk south. That concentration is the reason for this address rather than a South Lake Union one — the technology companies are up by the lake, and the firms that write seed and Series A cheques are here. The 1 Line reaches SeaTac from University Street without a change, and Bellevue and the Eastside are fifteen minutes across the bridge.
Lake Union
1100 Dexter Avenue North, Suite 100
Seattle, WA 98109South Lake Union is Amazon's main campus and also hosts Google, Meta, Fred Hutch, and the Allen Institute, which makes it the rare market where the technology companies and the capital occupy the same neighborhood. Madrona, Maveron, Fuse, and Voyager work this ecosystem, and the corporate venture arms attached to Amazon and Microsoft are the most active strategic investors in the region. Bellevue and the Eastside are fifteen minutes across the bridge.
Charlotte
One of the country's largest banking centres, worked from the bench rather than from a room.
No room of our own
Charlotte is a banking town before it is a venture one: the capital that moves here is corporate, private and relationship-led, and it is reached through people who already bank in it. Mark Swanson works the Carolinas from here. There is no room of ours in the city, so a meeting here happens at the counterparty's offices or in Atlanta, which is a short flight south.
Charleston
Coastal South Carolina: defence, logistics and the capital that sits beside both.
No room of our own
Charleston pairs a deep-water port and a defence and aerospace base with a private wealth layer that does not present itself in the usual places. William Mayville, a retired three star general and former vice commander of US Cyber Command, works the city and the defence-adjacent relationships around it. There is no room here.
Houston
Energy capital, and the transition money moving through it.
No room of our own
Houston is where American energy capital is allocated, and the same balance sheets now fund the transition side of it: hydrogen, utilities and grid infrastructure. William Rogers works that market from here, having been chief financial officer of public companies in it and an adviser to the Department of Energy. No room of ours in the city.
Southport
The rest of the Fairfield County coast, worked alongside Greenwich.
No room of our own
Southport sits up the Connecticut coast from Greenwich, at the far end of the same hedge fund and family office belt and outside the part of it that gets called on weekly. Jarat Ford works it from here and from Austin. The nearest room is the Greenwich Office Park campus, half an hour down I-95 or the New Haven line.
